Abstract:In the Song dynasty, Chinese medicine health legal system had been greatly developed, the rulers attached great importance to the development of medicine and health care, such as promulgating special medical health laws and imperial edicts, recruiting sage to sort out ancient medical books, developing medical education and so on, which reflected that the rulers attached importance to the life and health of the people. At the same time, they paid attention to vulnerable groups and the establishment of social welfare undertakings, gave them the respect that they deserved, and ensured their survival and development. These measures not only raise doctor and medical status, but also promote the development of medicine and health care and the spread of medical knowledge; meanwhile, these measures are also an expression of the rulers' urgent need for adopting a policy of benevolence, which has a certain humanism thought.
