Abstract:Objective To analyze the distribution of 8 kinds of virulence genes among Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from clinical patients and their correlation with clinical features. Methods The polymerase chain reaction(PCR) was carried out to sreen for the eight target genes of K. pneumoniae resulting to lung infections isolated from Wuxi People ‘s Hospital from 2019.08 to 2019.09.The positive rate of virulence genes and the characteristic of clinical distribution are statistically analyzed.Result Among the 50 clinical isolates, the positive rates of mrkD and ureA were 100%.The positive rate of fimH, entB and ybtA were respectively 86%, 96% and 64%.wabG,uge and clbA were not found. People infected with Klebsiella pneumoniae with the gene fimH were more likely to develop symptoms of cough and sputum than those without the gene. The most common combination was fimH+mrkD+ureA+entB+ybtA.The patients infected with Klebsiella pneumoniae presenting 5 kinds of virulence genes had significant clinical symptoms and a low mortality rate.mrkD+ureA+entB combination could result in the highest mortality rate and had high proportion of multi-drug resistant bacteria.Conlusion With the increase of types of virulence gene, the proportion of cough, sputum, chest shortness of breath symptoms basically increased while the mortality rate decreased. Clinically, patients should pay close attention to the detection of etiology and drug resistance so as to achieve early monitoring and early treatment.
