Abstract:Objective Analysis of risk factors for non-sentinel lymph node (NSLN) status of non-sentinel lymph nodes in patients with sentinel lymph node (SLN) metastasis in breast cancer. Methods The patients with breast cancer who underwent sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) in our hospital from January 2016 to June 2020 were all female patients. Logistic regression model was used to analyze the risk factors of NSLN metastasis in univariate analysis. Results A total of 136 patients were included in the study, including 62 cases with NSLN negative and 74 cases with NSLN positive. Comparative data showed that primary tumor size, vascular tumor thrombus, SLN positive number and SLN positive ratio were the risk factors affecting the metastasis of breast cancer (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that vascular tumor thrombus and SLN positive rate were independent risk factors for metastasis of NSLN in breast cancer patients (P < 0.05). Conclusion The positive rates of SLN and vascular tumor thrombus were independent risk factors for NSLN metastasis in breast cancer patients. NSLN metastasis was more likely to occur in breast cancer patients with vascular tumor thrombus and SLN positive ratio ≥0.5.
