    Abstract:

Objective:To evaluate the regional myocardial systolic function in the patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM) by TDI imaging. Methods:Doppler myocardial imaging of 83 HCM patients(HCM group) and 30 healthy subjects(control group) was collected, and their regional peak velocity, systolic strain, disaplacement, time to peak systolic strain in the apical, mid and basal segment was measured respectively at septum and lateral wall. The data was compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results:The strain value of HCM group was significantly lower in the place where hypertrophy was happened. There was a significant correlation between midseptal strain and thickness of intraventricular septum. Velocity and displacement was decreased in septum and lateral wall, but have no significant correlation with the extend and site of hypertrophy. No significant difference was found about the time to systolic strain of left ventricle. Conclusion:TDI imaging could detect the global and regional myocardial function of HCM patients, and provide a new quantitative parameter for evaluating the regional myocardial functions.
