Objective:To investigate the expression of EGFR and COX-2 and their correlations in human gastric carcinoma, and analyze their relationship with H.pylori infection. Methods:By Immunochemical EnVision method, the expression of EGFR and COX-2 were detected in 47 cases of gastric cancer and 20 cases of cancer-adjacent tissues. The statuses of H.pylori infection were detected by fast urea enzyme test and 13C breath test. Results:The positive rates of EGFR and COX-2 in gastric carcinoma were significantly higher than those in paraneoplastic tissues(P < 0.01). There were significantly positive correlation between the expression of EGFR,COX-2(P < 0.05),and the expression with H.pylori infection were higher than those without H.pylori infection(P < 0.01). Conclusion:EGFR and COX-2 were overexpressed in gastric carcinoma, and there were positive correlations between them. H.pylori infection could upregulate the expression of EGFR and COX-2 in gastric cancer tissues.
