    Abstract:

Objective:To determine the effects of Valsartan on apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1(ASK1)-dependent signal pathway mediated myocardial remodeling after myocardial infarction in the rat heart. Methods:The myocardial infarction model was established by ligating the descending left coronary. 24 Sprague Dawley rats were randomized into three groups, myocardial infarction group,Valsartan administration group,sham-operated group. Six weeks later,Picrosirius red staining measured collagen volume fraction (CVF),ASK1 protein expression was measured by western blot, meanwhile,we measure hemodynamics and left ventricular mass index(LVMI) of rats. Results:The LVMI-CVF and ASK1 protein content all significantly decreased in Valsartan group,as compared with myocardial infarction group(P < 0.05). Conclusion:ASK1 is involved in myocardial remodeling after myocardial infarction,AngⅡcan improve myocardial Collagen remodeling by intervention ASK1-dependent signal pathway.
