    Abstract:

Objective:To study the effects of the lycopene on antioxidation in SD old rats. Methods:According to the initial contents of malondiadehycle(MDA) in the serum, 48 SD old rats were devided radomly to 4 groups. After the rats were orally administered with 0.066 4 g/(kg·d), 0.134 g/(kg·d), 0.4 g/(kg·d) lycopene and the oil for 30 days, the concents of serum MDA, the energy of serum SA, the energy of serum GSH-Px and the contents of lipofasciin in liver were observed. Results:Compared with the oil group, the concents of serum MDA were decreased significantly in 0.4 g/(kg·d) group, and the energy of serum SA was increased significantly in 0.134 g/(kg·d) and 0.4 g/(kg·d) groups. Conclusion:Lycopene has antioxidant effect on SD old rats.
