    Abstract:

Objective:To investigate the effects of fluvastatin on proliferation of human renal tubular epithelial cell induced by AngiotensinⅡ. Methods:Cultured human renal tubular epithelial cells were treated with AngⅡ at different concentrations(10-9,10-8, 10-7,10-6 and 10-5 mol/L respectively) for different time(12 h,24 h,48 h). Then the cells were treated with AngⅡ(10-5 mol/L) and fluvastatin in different concentrations(10-9,10-8,10-7,10-6 and 10-5 mol/L respectively) for different time(12 h,24 h,48 h). The proliferation of renal tubular epithelial cells were determined by MTT colorimetry. Results:After treated with AngⅡ for 48 h,the proliferation of renal tubular epithelial cells was increased significantly, especially in 10-5 mol/L of AngⅡ, and then decreased significantly after treated with Fluvastatin, especially at the concentration of 10-5 mol/L for 48 h. Conclusion:Fluvastatin can inhibit the proliferation of human renal tubular epithelial cell induced by AngⅡ in a dose-dependent manner.
