    Abstract:

Objective:To explore the regulative role of leptin on NYGGF4 gene expression in matured human adipocytes. Methods:Human preadipocytes were cultured in vitro and differentiated into matured adipocytes. The matured adipocytes were treated with 100 ng/ml leptin for 6 hours and 24 hours, respectively. Total RNA from these adipocytes was extracted and the levels of NYGGF4 mRNA expression were evaluated by real-time quantitative RT-PCR. Results:Treatment with 100 ng/ml leptin for 6 hours or 24 hours significantly decreased NYGGF4 gene mRNA expression in human matured adipocytes (P < 0.05). Conclusion:Leptin could downregulate the expression of NYGGF4 gene mRNA in human matured adipocytes.
