    Abstract:

Objective:To identify the homology among enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) isolated from different years, cites and hosts. Methods:Amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) was used for the molecular subtyping of 113 E. coli O157:H7 strains. The AFLP patterns were analyzed by BioNumerics version 4.0 software. Results:113 isolates showed 37 patterns. Strains isolated from different years and hosts may have the same patterns. Conclusion:From the above observations,it is evident that AFLP is useful in the molecular typing of E. coli O157:H7 isolated from different sources.
