Objective:To study the compatibility between CS-CPC/BMP-2/bFGF composite material scaffolds and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells after induction and to explore a new scaffold for bone tissue engineering. Methods:The CS-CPC/BMP-2/bFGF composite material scaffolds were produced and co-cultured with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, then these composite material scaffolds were cultured in osteogenic medium for two weeks, and the growth and adhesion of cells on the scaffold were observed with scanning electron microscope and the cell proliferation was detected by MTT assay so as to evaluate the tissue response. Results:The cells grew well on the surface of the CS-CPC/BMP-2/bFGF composite material scaffolds. The MTT test assay showed that the CS-CPC/BMP-2/bFGF composite material scaffolds couldn’t inhibit the proliferation of BMSCs. Conclusion:The CS-CPC/BMP-2/bFGF composite material scaffolds has good biocompatibility which showed the potential of novel scaffold for bone tissue engineering.
