Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical significance of Fascin expression in lung carcinoma. Methods:The clinical and pathological information of 63 cases of lung carcinoma were collected. The expression of Fascin in the tissues of lung carcinoma were detected and compared with that in paraneophastic tissues and normal lung tissues by Western blot. Results:The expression of Fascin in the tissues of lung carcinoma was higher than that in normal lung tissues(P < 0.05),which correlated with clinical stage(P < 0.05),lymphatic metastasis(P < 0.05) and histology grade(P < 0.05);There was significant difference between the expression of Fascin in squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma(P < 0.05);The expression of Fascin was not correlated with gender, age and the history of smoking(P > 0.05). Conclusion:The higher expression of Fascin in lung carcinoma is the marker of high invasive and low histology grade. Fascin may become a target in the therapy of lung carcinoma.
