    Abstract:

Objective:Parkinson’s disease (PD) animal model is an indispensable tool for exploring the etiology, pathogenesis, pathology, symptoms, signs, neuroprotect and drug therapy. Among so many animal models of PD,the most widely used currently are 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) lesioned rat model and 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) induced mouse model. In order to clarify their own characteristics,it is compared and evaluated the preparation principles, production styles, measurement experiments, difficulties, stabilities and other consideration factors of the two kinds of animal models of PD in this article, with a view to make better choices and take full advantages of that in the research of PD.
