    Abstract:

Objective: To investigate the expression of protease-activated receptor-2(PAR-2) and microvessel density(MVD) in normal cervix, carcinoma in situ of uterine cervix and invasive carcinoma of cervix. Methods:Immunohistochemistry method was used to examine the expressions of PAR-2 and MVD in 70 specimens of cervical squamous cell carcinoma, 20 carcinoma in situ of uterine cervix , and 15 normal cervical specimens. Result: The expressions of PAR-2 and MVD were higher in cervical invasive carcinoma than those in normal cervical tissues(P < 0.01). The expressions of PAR-2 and MVD in positive and negative lymph nodes metastasis of pelvic cavity were statistical significance(P < 0.01). The expression of MVD was significantly higher in PAR-2 positive group than that in negative group. Conclusion:PAR-2 and MVD are closely associated with the invasion and metastasis of cervical carcinoma.
