    Abstract:

objective:to investigate the association between the mir-146a gene polymorphism(rs2910164) and the susceptibility of ovarian cancer in jiangsu province. methods:in a hospital-based case-control study of 131 patients with newly diagnosed ovarian cancer and 221 cancer-free controls frequency-matched by age,the polymorphism of mir-146a gene was analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(pcr-rflp). the risk of ovarian cancer was compared between carriers of different genotypes. age,age at menarche, parity, number of abortions and menopausal status of cases were further stratified to investigate their effects on the risk of ovarian cancer. results:no significant difference was found between the mir-146a polymorphism of patients and of controls. conclusion:our results showed that the mir-146a g>c polymorphism may not contribute to the risk of ovarian cancer in jiangsu province.
