    Abstract:

    objective:to analyze the epidemiological characteristics and the influence factors of the antiretroviral treatment patients(arts) in jiangsu province. methods:according to the base data of arts during 2005~2009,excel database was established and statistical analysis was performed using spss 17.0 software. results:there were 732 arts during 2005~2009 totally and the number of arts increased by year. ninety-five point five percent of the arts were from local province;the ratio of male to female was 2.1∶1;the average age was 41.9 years old;67.3% of the arts were married;patients were mainly detected and diagnosed in hospital;67.76% of the arts were infected with hiv through sexual transmission,while the proportion of men who have sex with men(msm)had the trend to increase;90% of the arts had the symptoms of fever,diarrhea and so on before treatment;the average number of cd4+ t cell was only 111.1 counts/μl;the median of the interval time between hiv confirmation and art started was 116 days. conclusion:it’s not early for the aids to start art in jiangsu province because aids patients were diagnosed late. earlier detection and diagnosis of hiv positive cases should be strengthened.
