Objective:To investigate the effects of Resveratrol on the proliferation and apoptosis of gastric cancer cell lines. Methods:Gastric cancer cell lines BGC823 and SGC7901 were treated with Resveratrol (0~150 μmol/L) for different time (24~72 h). The proliferation, apoptosis and survivin protein expression of gastric cancer cells were detected by the CCK-8 kit, flow cytometry and Western blot, respectively. Results:Resveratrol inhibited the proliferation of BGC823 and SGC7901 in dose-and time-dependant model. The early and late apoptosis rates of BGC823 and SGC7901 were highly increased by treatment of 150 μmol/L Resveratrol for 72 h,while Survivin protein expression decreased significantly (all P < 0.05). Conclusion:Resveratrol inhibits the proliferation and induces the apoptosis of BGC823 and SGC7901,in which the down-regulation of survivin protein may be involved.
