Abstract:Objective:To explore the association between the TGFB1 T869C polymorphism and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) susceptibility. Methods:PubMed and CMB databases were searched to get the case-control studies on the association between the T869C polymorphism and RA susceptibility. Further,OR with the association was obtained from the meta-analysis. Then heterogeneity, stratified analysis, and publication bias test were conducted in the study. Results:A total of seven eligible studies with 1 122 RA cases and 1 132 controls were included in this meta-analysis. No significant association was found in any genetic model between the T869C polymorphism and RA risk using fixed model or random model. However,in the subgroup of races,we found that the T869C polymorphism was significantly associated with risk of AR in codominant and dominant model among Asians. Conclusion:The TGFB1 T869C polymorphism may contribute to RA risk among Asians.
