    Abstract:

Objective:To investigate the effect of triptolide on the invasion of human endometrial carcinoma cell line (HEC-1B). Methods:Gelatin zymography was performed to investigate the effects of triptolide on the activity of the invasion-related gelatinase proteins MMP-2 and MMP-9 in HEC-1B cells. Transwell was employed to assess the influence of triptolide on the invasion of HEC-1B cells. Results:The activity of the invasion-related gelatinase proteins MMP-2 and MMP-9 and the invasion of HEC-1B cells were decreased in a time-dependent manner, when exposed to triptolide. Conclusion:Triptolide could inhibit the invasion of HEC-1B by down-regulating the activity of the invasion-related gelatinase proteins MMP-2 and MMP-9.
