Recent years have witnessed the booming development in the field of endoscopic resection,especially after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) being introduced into China. ESD has been acknowledged to be the first-line treatment of early gastrointestinal cancer. The new advances and challenges in endoscopic resection field such as ESD,tunnel endoscopy,endoscopic full-thickness resection and suturingtechnique are reviewed in this article.
