As a migrant worker, Zhang Haichao sufferred from lung surgery in order to diagnose pneumoconiosis at the risk of losing life. This incident drew the social attention on the issue of rights protection of migrant workers who had suffered from occupational diseases. Rights of migrant workers in China are faced with long process and high cost in the process of searching help. The reason include imperfect law, the lack of identification of the regulatory agencies, as well as lack of social security. To resolve the difficulties migrant workers are confronted with, we must improve the relevant laws, develop the industrial injury insurance system and strengthen the role of government－led, in order to protect the rights of migrant workers.
