Although blood stations and medical institutions provided and used blood in a very strict way which was regulated by some related medical laws and regulations, a small part of patients was likely to be still infected by some infectious diseases due to the existence of undetected rate and window phase in the process of blood detection. The present ways to solve the social problems in our country were not perfect to protect the patients, blood stations as well as medical institutions very well. The article tried to provide some possible solutions to this social problem, including how to promote social security system and develop blood transfusion insurance system in order to minimize the conflicts between patients and medical institutions caused by no-fault blood transfusion infection.
