The pathology autopsy had a positive effect on determination of medical diagnosis, solution of medical tangle and improvement of medical therapy. It should be advocated and promoted. It was importmant that the performance of antopsy expertise must be scientific and correct,the managment need be standandized and programmed and the quality control should be enhanced. The article also brought forward measures and proposals for pathologic autopsies by means of analysis of 63 samples of autopsies involved in medical tangles in Wuxi area.
