The article discussed the significance of optimizing the educational and teaching functions of the affiliated hospitals, putting forward some measures to tackle the existing problems and challenges, including intensifying the guiding work of medical universities, raising hospital authorities’ awareness of the importance of the optimization, making constant efforts to achieve the optimization according to the specific situations of the hospitals concerned.
