The relief system for poor students supported by the nation,schools and society is getting perfect with a gradual expansion of aid. The national student loans under the new mechanism ensures “loans could and should be issued”,so there should be zero arrears theoretically in college. However,the colleges are facing serious arrears problem due to multi-faceted reasons,which require great attention,intensive education,positive guidance and the establishment of an effective system. A data model should be established to identify students maliciously in arrears so as to take countermeasures to solve student arrears problems.
