To find out the clinical research situation in the field of asthma over the recent 10 years (1997-2008),the article categorized the publications relating to asthma according to the research interest,authors,country distribution and research facilities by bibliometrics based on SCI-E. Domestic researchers had the same interest in the field of asthma with foreign scholars. However,Chinese researchers were still expected to offer more original opinions on the topics like epidemiology and clinical intervention of asthma,which would contribute more on the etiology of asthma and have greater impact on asthma treatment.
