Based on a case study on the health communication practice aiming at the Lisu ethnic group located in the Sino-Burmese frontier in Tengchong area, Yunnan province,the article tried to discuss how to find pointed ways to minimize the health risks of specific populations based on the local knowledge by integrating the in-depth fieldwork research and the practice of the health communication.
