    Abstract:

Alice in Bed,the most important drama by Susan Sontag, layed the theme on a historical character,Alice James from the famous James’. Through revealing Alice’s illness-trapped life,Sontag expressed her humanistic care to sick people. In this 8-act play,Sontag tried to abate imaginations and connotations on illness, preventing physical sickness being transformed to mental sickness, embodying profound medical humanity value.
