    Abstract:

China boasts its splendid culture that has developed over thousands of years. Of True Medicine, authored by Sun Simiao, is regarded as a classical and all-encompassing book for its thought of human-heartedness from Confucianism, wuwei (doing nothing) from Taoism, and benevolence from Buddhism. Tracing back its roots from the perspective of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, and digging into its cultural core have special value on modern medical ethics and virtues.
