Systematic health education improved knowledge,attitudes and eating habits of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus

    Abstract:

    Objective:To observe the intervention effect of systematic health education in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus,and to find the scientific,convenient,economic and effective diet treatment and health promotion method. Methods:120 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus were randomly arranged into two groups,60 women in case group who were received systematic health education and others in control group who were received traditional health education. Related knowledge,attitudes and eating habits of the two groups were observed. Results:The knowledge survey score and the attitude score increased after the intervention in systematic health education group were significantly higher than those in traditional group. The eating habits of the systematic education group were also superior to the traditional education group. Conclusion:The systematic health education in the pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus is helpful in control of blood sugar and obstetrical disease.
