Township health centers(THCs) of counties implementing health Ⅺ project were surveyed to promote performance management. Policies on performance management were summarized. The questionnaire investigation of all THCs’ principals on the conditions of performance management was performed. Directors of health bureau and some THCs were interviewed. The contents,subject,frequency,methods and motivational mechanism of performance evaluation were comprehended through the above methods. In the end,several policy recommendations were put forward.
