Abstract:Objective:To investigate expression and distribution of calreticulin (CRT) in the adult mouse testis and explore the preliminary function of CRT during testes development and spermatogenesis. Methods:The expression and distribution of calreticulin (CRT) in the adult mouse testis were detected by western blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Results:Western blotting result showed CRT expressed highly in mouse testis. Immunohistochemistry result revealed positive signals were widely distributed while strong signals were mainly in primary spermatogonia and Leydig cells. Conclusion:CRT expressed highly in adult mouse testis,and it may be involved in spermatogonia self-renew/differentiation and testosterone secretion mechanisms.

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the protective mechanism of N-acetylcysteine(NAC) in ischemia-reperfusion injury of spinal cord. Methods:Forty-five New England rabbits were randomly assigned to one of the 3 groups:sham-operation group(n=5);ischemic reperfusion group:animals were given 0.9% NaCl before operation,which were divided into 4 sub-groups:ischemia 30 minutes/reperfusion 30 minutes group(group A,n=5),ischemia 30 minutes/reperfusion 2 hours group(group B,n=5) and ischemia 30 minutes/reperfusion 8 hours group (group C,n=5),ischemia 30 minutes/reperfusion 24 hours group (group D,n=5);lNAC group:animals were given NAC before operation,and sub-groups are exactly the same as the ischemic reperfusion group. The morphology of spinal cord was observed by hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining and electron microscope. The phosphorylation of JNK(p-JNK) were detected by western blot. Results:①In the ischemic reperfusion group,the apoptosis of neurocytes of spinal cord in group B were detected by electronmicroscope. In NAC group,the apoptosis of neurocytes of spinal cord was detected in group D. ②In the ischemic reperfusion group,JNK was activated in group B,and enhanced with the ischemia time increasing. In NAC group,JNK was activated in group D,and the activities were lower than the corresponding group in the ischemic reperfusion group. Simultaneously JNK protein expression were not significantly different between two groups. Conclusion:Ischemia-reperfusion could cause the injuries of spinal cord by activating JNK(the MRPKs family ). Giving NAC before ischemia could protect neurocytes from JNK-mediated apoptosis induced by severe ischemia reperfusion injury.

Abstract:Objective:To investigate whether the effect of fluoxetine on cell proliferation involving Notch1 signaling in cultured neural stem cells (NSCs). Methods:The MTT assay was used to evaluate cell viability. The protein level of Notch1 signaling components (including NICD,Hes1 and Hes5) were detected by Western blot. Results:①When the cells were treated with the 10 μmol/L,15 μmol/L and 20 μmol/L fluoxetine for 48 h,the cell viabilities increased significantly more than those without fluoxetina treated. ②MTT assay showed the presence of fluoxetine strongly enhanced the cell proliferation compared to the control,while DAPT decreased cell proliferation. When fluoxetine and DAPT in combination were added,the cells of proliferation were declined compared with single fluoxetine treated group. ③ Inactivation of Notch signaling with DAPT lead to a rapid reduction in the protein expression level of Hes1and Hes5 compared with the control. After the treatment of fluoxetine for 48 h,the protein expressions of NICD,Hes1 and Hes5 increased significantly compared with the control. When NSCs were exposed to fluoxetine-conditioned medium with DAPT,western blot analysis revealed that the levels of NICD,Hes1 and Hes5 were decreased relative to fluoxetine-conditioned medium without DAPT. Conclusion:①Fluoxetine enhanced cell proliferation in cultured NSCs. ②Fluoxetine activated the Notch1 signaling pathway in NSCs. ③ Notch1 signaling play a major role in the proliferation of NSCs promoted by fluoxetine.

Abstract:Objective:To compare the morphologic and functional changes in kidney after cryoablation(CA)or radiofrequency ablation(RFA)for liver tissue in rats. Methods:In this study,ninety-four Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 2 groups. Group A(n=52)was treated with cryoablation by liquid nitrogen,which was performed in 15-20 s. Group B(n=42)was treated with RFA by using a cooled-tip technique. The energy output was 15 W for(60-90) s. All rats were sacrificed at prescheduled time,serum and tissue samples from the kidney were collected for subsequent analysis. Serum urea nitrogen(BUN),creatinine(Cr)in blood,and urine erytrocytes were measured prior to and 1,3,7,14 days after surgery. Histologic studies of kidney tissue were compared between two kinds of treatment groups. Results:At 1 day after ablation,serum concentration of BUN(P < 0.01),Cr(P < 0.01),and urine RBC(P < 0.05)in both groups increased evidently,which changed significantly in group A group B. In the early stage,many red-orange(hemoglobin-like)crystals appeared in the renal tubule lumen,and lymphocytes infiltration were found in group A. But these significant changes were not present in renal sections from the rats in group B. Conclusion:Hepatic tissue cryoablation results in severe renal dysfunction,but an approximate volume of liver parenchyma underwent RFA impacts lightly,which could be a safe therapy for liver tumor.

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the expression and biological function of microRNA 143(miR-143) in bladder transitional cell cancer. Methods:The expression of miR-143 in bladder cancer samples was determined using real-time quantitative reverse transcription (qRT)-PCR. Mature mimics of miR-143 were chemically synthesized and transiently transfected into J82 and T24 cells respectively. Apoptosis and proliferation of the cells were evaluated using flow cytometry and MTS assay. Results:MiR-143 quantification showed low expression of miR-143 in bladder cancer samples. Up-regulation of miR-143 in J82 and T24 cells contributed to cell growth suppression,but not apoptosis. Conclusion:The relative low expression of miRNA-143 may be involved in the tumorigenesis and development of bladder cancer.

Abstract:Objective:To characterize nanoparticles which were prepared from biodegradable polymers loaded with resveratrol,and observe the in-vitro anti-tumor effect. Methods:Firstly,mPEG-PCL amphipathic block copolymers were synthesized with ring-opening method. Nanoparticles loaded with resveratrol were then successfully prepared with solvent dispersion method. The morphology,size distribution,encapsulation rate and loading capacity,in-vitro release and in-vitro cytotoxicity against malignant glioma were studied. Results:Nanoparticles prepared with solvent dispersion method proved to be spheric with the size of 71.8±0.2 nm. The highest encapsulation rate was 19.4%. In vitro release experiment revealed the existence of gradual release property. After co-cultured with fluorescein nanospheres,the cells can intake nanospheres through endocytosis. In-vitro cell experiment showed that resveratrol-loaded nanoparticles significantly inhibitied the growth of U251 cells. Especially in low concentrations,resveratrol-loaded nanospheres had stronger cytotoxicity on tumor cells than single free resveratrol. With the increase of drug concentration,resveratrol-loaded nanoparticles had similar cytotoxicity on tumor cells with free resveratrol medicine. Conclusion:Nanoparticles loaded with resveratrol are effective in inhibiting the growth of U251 tumor cells. The study also suggests that they are potentially useful due to their property of gradual release.

Abstract:Objective:To observe the effects of ouabain on the proliferation and apoptosis in different leukemia cell lines Jurkat,U937,K562,NB4,HL-60,Raji,and probe the effects of different dosages of ouabain on jurkat cell membrane potential. Methods:Using the MTT method for assaying the inhibition degree of cell proliferation. The morphological changes in leukemia cell lines were observed after wright staining. Cell apoptosis was determined by flow cytometry after Annexin V/PI staining. Jurkat cell membrane potential was labeled by DiBAC4(3)and measured by flow cytometry. Results:MTT assay showed that ouabain could significantly inhibit the proliferation of leukemia cell lines.Wright’s staining and apoptosis detection indicated dramatic proapoptotic morphological changes and enhanced cell apoptosis rate in Jurkat,K562,HL-60 and NB4 cell lines after treatment with ouabain. Cell membrane potential detection showed ouabain didn’t induce the depolarization of Jurkat cell membrane. Conclusion:Ouabain has potent anti-leukemia activity and can significantly inhibit the proliferation and induce apoptosis in leukemia cell lines,meanswhile there were no inhibition effect on the Na,K-ATPase of ouabain.

Abstract:Objective:To observe the imbalanced T cell-specific transcription factors T-bet and GATA-3 in asthmatic rats and discuss the regulation of the Astragalus membranaceus acts on them. Methods:Fifty male SD rats were randomly divided into Group C(control group),Group A(asthmatic group),Group H1(low-dose Astragalus membranaceus group),Group H2(medium-dose Astragalus membranaceus group) and Group H3(high-dose Astragalus membranaceus group),which were observed the changes of airway histology. CD4+T cells were isolated from twenty male SD rats spleens and incubated with RPMI-1640 at 37℃ for 24 hours,and were divided into 5 groups as noted above. The concentrations of interleukin(IL)-4,IL-5,IFN-γ in serum and CD4+T cells supernatant were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),while the mRNA expressions of T-bet and GATA-3 were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR),and the protein expressions of T-bet and GATA-3 were detected by western blot respectively. Results:The numbers of eosinophils(EOS) and lymphocytes,the thicknesses of WA/Pi and ASM/Pi of Group A,were significantly elevated compared with those of Group C(P < 0.01). The EOS and lymphocytes,the thicknesses of WA/Pi and ASM/Pi of Group H1-3 were lower than those of Group A. The IL-4 and IL-5 concentrations of Group A were significantly elevated compared with those of Group C,and those of Group H1-H3 were lower than Group A(P < 0.01). Compared with Group C(P < 0.01),the significantly lower concentration of IFN-γ in Group A was detected,and the Group H1-3 had the higher concentrantions of IFN-γ than Group A(P < 0.01). In CD4+T cells supernatant,the concentrations of IL-4 and IL-5 were distinctly decreased and the concentrantions of IFN-γ were increased in the Group H1-3. There were obvious differences in the concentrations of IL-4,IL-5 and IFN-γ between the Group H1-3 and Group A(P < 0.01). In Group H1-3,the expressions of T-bet mRNA and protein in lungs and CD4+T cells were obviously increased compared with those of Group A (P < 0.01);and the Group H1-3 has the lower levels of GATA-3 mRNA and protein expressions than Group A(P < 0.01). Conclusion:In asthma the imbalanced T cell-specific transcription factors T-bet and GATA-3 play a key role in Th2 polarization with over-production of Th2-like cytokines. Astragalus membranaceus inhibits the asthmatic airway inflammation with regulating the balance of transcription factors T-bet and GATA-3.

Abstract:Objective:To observe the regulative effect of glucose and high glucose fluctuation on the proliferation,cell cycle and apoptosis in osteosarcoma MG63 cells,and study the role of non-physiological concentration of glucose in pathogenesis of diabetic osteoporosis. Methods:MG63 cells were incubated for 24 h respectively with different concentration glucose(5.5,33.3 mmol/L)and high glucose fluctuation(5.5,33.3 mmol/L). The proliferation of MG63 cells was examined by MTT colorimetric analysis. The cell cycle of the cells and apoptotic rate were determined by flow cytometry. Results:①Both high glucose and high glucose fluctuation inhibited the proliferation of MG63 cells,and the inhibition effect of high glucose fluctuation group was significantly higher than that of high glucose group(P < 0.05). ②Both high glucose and high glucose fluctuation blocked cell cycle,increased the percentage of G1 phase,decreased the percentage of S phase and induced apoptosis. The effect of high glucose fluctuation group was obviously stronger than that in high glucose(P < 0.05). Conclusion:High glucose fluctuation could not only inbihit the proliferation but also block cell cycle and induce apoptosis in MG63 cells,which may be one of the key pathogenetic factors of diabetic osteoporosis.

Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of intense pulsed light (IPL) on collagens and PCNA expressions in mouse skin and elucidate the biological mechanisms of photorejuvenation. Methods:Mice were irradiated on their right sides of the back with IPL(32 J/cm2),and their left sides were selected as control areas. At day 1,7,14 and 28 after treatment,skin specimens were taken at treated and non-treated areas,respectively. Histological and collagens changes were observed by hematoxylin-eosin-staining and Van Gieson staining. In addition,the expression of PCNA was investigated by immunohistochemistry at day 28 after irradiation. Results:Compared with non-treated regions,dermal thickness of treated regions had no significant change at day 1,7,14 and 28(P > 0.05). Collagens staining were stronger in treated regions than in non-treated areas at day 14 and 28(P < 0.05). The expression of PCNA also increased at day 14 and 28 after irradiation in treated areas(P < 0.05). Conclusion:IPL can enhance the content of collagens and also can increase the expression of PCNA in mouse skin.

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the risk factors for severe cases of influenza A H1N1. Methods:The confirmed cases of influenza A H1N1 during June to December 2009 in Jiangsu province were investigated using unified designed questionnaires. Univariate and multivariate non-conditional logistic regression were employed to analyze the risk factors and odds ratio(OR)with SAS 9.1.3. Results:Age,interval between incidence and first-visit,BMI,pregnant and chronic comorbid illness were identified as the risk factors of severe cases in univariate logistic regression models. And age,interval between incidence and first-visit,BMI and chronic comorbid illness got into the final multivariate logistic model. Among which,the contribution of chronic comorbid illness to the model was greatest(β=0.72),followed with age(β=0.43),BMI(β=0.35)and interval between incidence and first-visit(β=0.25). Joint effect analysis indicated a dose-response relationship between the increased risk and the amount of risk factors. Conclusion:Individuals with risk factors for severe cases of infulenza A H1N1 should receive earlytreatment.

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of implementation of hypertension self-management program in Nanjing. Methods:A community-based randomly controlled trial was taken. A total of 738 voluntary participants with hypertension were randomly divided as trial group and control group. The patients in the trial group received the education of hypertension self-management program for 9 months. Then the changes in self-management of behaviors,health condition,health service utilization,occurrence of cardiovascular disease and complications between the two groups were compared. Results:There were significant differences in practice of cognitive symptom management,communication with physician and self-efficacies of management of symptom between the two groups (P < 0.01). There were also significant differences in scores of nine items of health status,times of clinic and emergent visit(P < 0.05),blood pressure,body weight,waist circumference,obesity index and cardiac function classification,etc(P < 0.05),There were statistically significant significances in complications,ECG left ventricular high voltage and retinal arteriosclerosis intervention(P < 0.05). Conclusion:Nine-month implementation of hypertension self-management program can improve the knowledge of self-management,cultivate healthy behavior,partly improve physical and mental health condition and self-efficacy,reduce the frequencies of clinic and emergent doctor visiting for the participators.

Abstract:Objective:To compare the anti-infection efficacy of gatifloxacin and levofloxacin. If there is no statistical difference between the two treatment,the economic evaluation of the two drugs was compared. Methods:Meta analysis of literature (a total of 10 selected literature),which was in line with the inclusion criteria of gatifloxacin and levofloxacin in the treatment of acute bacterial infection,was processed with the rate of bacterial clearance after treatment,clinical efficacy,clinical cure rate as an indicator,with the minimum cost method for economic evaluation of drugs. Results:The two drugs on the treatment of bacterial infections was no significant difference. The minimum cost method showed that gatifloxacin had a higher cost than levofloxacin. Conclusion:Gatifloxacin and levofloxacin have same efficacy in the treatment of bacterial infections. But the pharmacoeconomics value of levofloxacin is better than gatifloxacin.

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the risk factors of Hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) in Changzhou. Methods:A case-control study involving interviews with 108 newly diagnosed HFMD cases and equal number of controls matching for age and sex were carried in Changzhou. Statistical analyses of single-factor and multivariate conditional logistic regression were performed to investigate the risk factors of HFMD. Results:By using single-factor analysis,5 exposure factors were identified as aetiological factors for HFMD. Multivariate conditional logistic regression analysis showed 2 main risk factors and 1 protective factor for HFMD. There were:living in rural areas with odds ratio (OR) 2.191 (95%CI:1.174~4.088),drinking unboiled water habit with OR 2.441 (95%CI:1.050~5.675),washing their hands before and after meals with OR 0.505 (95%CI:0.259~0.983). Conclusion:Good sanitation,family’s and individuals’ good health habit are important factors to prevent HFMD. This study provides an important theoretical support for future health propaganda and education of HFMD.

Abstract:Objective:To study the solid-phase synthesis of the thrombin inhibitor bivalirudin using Wang Resin and Fmoc-protection strategy. Methods:Bivalirudin was synthesized through the process of coupling reaction,TFA cleavage/deprotection and HPLC purification. Different Fmoc-Leu substitution resins (0.29 mmol/g,0.48 mmol/g,0.59 mmol/g) and different coupling reagents (HBTU,DCC,HATU) were used to synthesize the bivalirudin. Results:The purity of bivalirudin could be >98%. The bioactive assay showed that the synthetic bivalirudin had the same extent anticoagulant activity as the standard sample. The results showed:① the high Fmoc-Leu substitution resin (>0.5 mmol/g) results in the low purity product,which was also difficult to purify;the substitution 0.3-0.4 mmol/g of Fmoc-Leu-Wang Resin was recommended;②using HBTU/HOBt as the coupling reagent had the advantages of convenient operation,economic and high efficiency. Following the results above,the optimized condition was used to synthesize gram grade of the Bivalirudin using 5 g Fmoc-Leu-Wang Resin. The crude product with the 84% total yield and 68% purity was obtained. Conclusion:The solid-phase synthesis method was used to evaluate the effect of different Fmoc-Leu substitution resins,different coupling reagents and different synthesis size on the total yield,purity and activity of bivalirudin. This research has instruction for the synthesis of bivalirudin in large amount.

Abstract:Objective:To establish chemiluminescence detection of sulfur dioxide(SO2) in food. Methods:SO2 quantificationally reacts with potassium permanganate,which can decrease the chemiluminescence intensity (CL) of the potassium permanganate-resorcin system,and the decrement of CL is correlated with the concentration of SO2. Results:In optimized condition,the calibration graph is linear in the range of 0.04~40.00 mg/L,and the limit of detection (LOD) is 0.03 mg/L (S/N=3). Conclusion:The proposed method can detecet SO2 in food.

Abstract:Objective:To study expressions of cyclinA1,cyclinA2,cyclinD1 and cyclinE1 in postoperative reocurring patients of breast cancer and their clinical significances. Methods:Total 81 patients with breast cancer were selected,including 41 cases that developed a recurrence during 5-year follow-up as a study group,and 40 cases that were still alive without a recurrence as a control group. The total RNAs were extracted and identified from the paraffin-embedded tissues of all the cases. The expressions of cyclinA1,cyclinA2,cyclinD1 and cyclinE1 were studied by real-time quantitative RT-PCR array and analyzed by univariate cox regression. Results:The high expression were observed in cyclinA2 and cyclinD1. The positive rates of cyclinA2 and cyclinD1 were higher in postoperative reocurring patients of breast cancer than in postoperative non-reocurring patients,and there were statistical significance(P < 0.05). Their odds ratioes with 95% CI were 3.600(2.337-5.574)and 2.604(1.726-3.927)respectively. CyclinA2 and cyclinD1 were risk factors of postoperative reocurring patients of breast cancer. Conclusion:The high expressions of cyclinA2 and cyclinD1 played an important role in postoperative reocurring patients of breast cancer. They can be used as important referenced indexes of prognosis.

Abstract:Objective:To explore the relationship of the gastric cancer susceptibility and polymorphism of upstream of IL-10 promoter at the site of 1082,819 and 592. Methods:Total of 129 patients with gastric cancer and 98 healthy individuals were enrolled in the study,and divided into patient group and control group. The polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) was applied to detect the base transition in the upstream of IL-10 promoter at the sites of 1082,819 and 592. The H.pylori infection of patients and health individuals was detected by immunoblotting. The SPSS10.0 software was applied to analyze frequencies of all genotypes. Results:There were obviously differences in polymorphism of IL-10-1082 between the gastric cancer group(AA:57.36%,GA:40.31% and GG:2.32%)and control group(AA:75.51%,GA:24.49%). The rate of GA genotype of IL-10-1082 in gastric cancer group was higher than that in control group(P=0.012). Allele G of IL-10-1082 in gastric cancer group was also higher than that in control group(P=0.007). We failed to observe any difference in the genotypes of IL-10-819 and -592 between gastric cancer group and control group. The GA genotype of IL-10-1082 in gastric cancer group was higher than that in the individuals with H.pylori infection in control group(OR=2.65,95% CI:1.16-6.08;P=0.031). Conclusion:The GA genotype or G allele in IL-10-1082 is a risk factor of the occurrence of gastric cancer. There was cooperation of H.pylori infection and the GA genotype in IL-10-1082 on the occurrence of GC.

Abstract:Objective:To study the relationship of complement C4 gene polymorphism in children with Henoch-Schonlein nepritis.Methods:Total of 74 ethnic Han children with HSPN and 114 only with HSP,were enrolled,and 130 age-,sex- and ethnic-matched healthy children were used as the control group. complement C4 gene polymorphism were determined by PCR. The correlations between complement C4 gene polymorphism and clinical presentation,pathlogical changes,therapy effect were analyzed. Results:The frequencies of C4AQ0 in HSP(including HSPN)were significantly higher than those in the control group(7.98% vs. 0.77%,P < 0.01,OR=11.19,95%CI:1.45~85.76). The frequencies of C4AQ0 in HSPN did not differ from those in children without nephritis(7.89% vs. 8.11%,P > 0.95). Plasma complement C4 levels in HSPN with C4AQ0(0.22±0.03 g/L)were significantly lower than those without C4AQ0(0.26±0.05 g/L)(P < 0.05). There were no significant difference between C4AQ0 and clinical presentation,pathlogical changes,therapy effect of children with HSPN. Conclusion:Complement C4 gene polymorphism may be associated with the development of HSP and seems unrelated to the susceptibility and clinical presentation,pathlogical changes,therapy effect to HSPN.

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the expressions of survivin and NF-κB in Renal Cell Carcinoma(RCC),and their relationship with clinical pathologic features. Methods:There were 40 cases of RCC specimens as the RCC study group and 10 cases as normal control. The expressions of survivin and NF-κB were detected by immunohistochemical method. Results:There was 72.5% of positive expression rate of survivin in renal carcinoma study group,while negative expression in the control group. There was significant difference between the RCC study and normal control groups (P < 0.05). In the RCC study group,the positive expression rate of survivin was higher in TNM Ⅲ and Ⅳ stages than in TNM Ⅰ and Ⅱ stages (P < 0.05). There was 65.0% of positive expression rate of NF-κB in RCC study group,while 20% in the control. There was significant difference between those two groups (P < 0.05). The positive expression rate of NF-κB was higher in the lower differentiation group than in the higher differentiation group (P < 0.05),and higher in TNM Ⅲ and Ⅳ stages than in TNM Ⅰ and Ⅱ stages (P < 0.05). The correlation between the expressions of NF-κB and survivin was positive (r=0.590,P < 0.05). Conclusion:Since survivin and NF-κB each has a different effect on the origin and development of RCCs,the combination of these two factors’ detection will provide us a valuable clinical index for assessing malignancy and metastasis,which can offer RCC a better treatment regimen and prognosis.

Abstract:Objective:To explore the feasibility and safety of inject tirofiban before percutaneuos coronary intervention in diabetes patients with acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction. Methods:Eighty-six diabetes patients wih acute myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation(STEMI) were randomly divided into tirofiban treatment group (n=41) and conventional treatment group (n=45). The events of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) within one month and six months were studied and compared. Results:There were 9 cases of puncture syndrome in tirofiban treatment group and 9 cases conventional treatment group,and there was no significant difference between two groups. There were 6 events of CVD in tirofiban treatment group and 15 events in conventional treatment group within 1 month(P=0.044),but there were 9 events of CVD in tirofiban treatment group and 19 events in conventional treatment group within 6 months (P=0.045). The recover time of troponinⅠ was (5.5±2.1) day in tirofiban treatment group and (7.9±2.9) day in conventional treatment group(P=0.046). Conclusion:Inject tirofiban before percutaneuos coronary intervention for STEMI with diabates is safety and feasibility,which can reduce events of CVD within one month and six months.

Abstract:Objective:To analyze whether supraspinal ligamen can be the identification marker of the sagital srew angle(SSA) of the pedicle of vertebral arch in the thoracolumbar surgery. Methods:Total of 63 cases of the nomal thoracolumbar MRI and 20 cases of fracture thoracolumbar MRI of patients were included in the study. Supraspinal ligament with the theoretical angle of pedicle of vertebral arch nail was measured and analyzed. The correlation was analyzed between SSA of the pedicle of vertebral arch at the thoracic vertebral 10(T10) and lumbar vertebrae 4(L4) and the supraspinal ligament.. Results:The angle of terminal plate of vertebral body agianst supraspinal ligamen is 90°at T10-L3, and is about 82°at L4,which is nearly to 90°. The angle didn't change before and after thoracolumbar fracture. Conclusion:If the angle of terminal plate of vertebral body agianst supraspinal ligamen is about 90° at T10-L4,the SSA is 0°. In the internal fixation surgery of thoracolumbar fracture, supraspinal ligament can be the identification marker for SSA of the pedicle of vertebral arch in the operation.
