The health care system in China is facing the dual challenges of the increasing burden of chronic non - communicable diseases and the normalization management of communicable diseases. The coordination between“medical”and“prevention”has attracted widespread attention from all fields of society. Based on the theoretical framework of the Rainbow model,the article analyzed the main issues and obstacles faced by China’s medical and prevention coordination from the macro,meso,micro and support elements levels. Based on advanced experience in medical and prevention coordination in China and abroad,this article proposed six specific implementation paths for promoting medical and prevention coordination: system coordination, organizational coordination,professional coordination,service coordination,functional coordination,and normative coordination.
