E-health literacy refers to individuals’ability to collect,evaluate and adopt online health-related information. Recent studies have shown that e-health literacy assists individuals in establishing health behaviors. The higher e-health literacy one adopts,the healthier lifestyle they have. With the development of“Internet +”, the public is more inclined to obtain health information through the Internet and utilize the obtained e - health resources to maintain and promote personal health conditions. However,the influence of e - health literacy on healthy lifestyles among college students needs to be further studied. This study conducts a questionnaire among 2 549 college students in three universities in Wuhu City through adopting the stratified cluster sampling method. The results showed that the e-health literacy score was(72.47±11.89)points and the health-promoting lifestyle score was(115.38 ± 21.03)points,both at an intermediate level. E - health literacy was positively correlated with health-promoting lifestyles(r=0.626,P<0.01);According to the hierarchical multiple regression analysis,the accessibility,evaluation ability and practical ability of e - health entered into the regression equation,and the net increase effect on the health promotion lifestyle was 19.6% . E - health literacy is an important influencing factor in college students’health promotion lifestyle. Universities should promote e-health literacy among students as the entry point to strengthen health-promotion lifestyle education,and improve their healthy living standards.
