Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era has been a hot spotand frontier issue in academic research in recent years. This study adopted the bibliometric software CiteSpaceto visually analyze 1 074 documents included in Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index(CSSCI)source journalssince the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The study found that the research hotspotsmainly focus on the generation，meaning，philosophical implication and theoretical arming of the new ideas，with the characteristics of obvious problem orientation，detailed thematic perspective and in-depth practicalresearch. Standing at the starting point of a new journey，it is necessary to expand the scope of the researchfurther，respond to practical concerns，innovate research methods，and broaden international perspectives toprovide a reference for future research.
