As the core of the public health service system，basic public health service plays an important role in maintaining residents’health. Through the realistic dilemma of the equalization development of basic public health services under the new situation，this article reviews existing research on equalization development to derive scientific issues related to equalization development with the social equity theory as the analytical framework. This paper aims to provide new research perspectives and theoretical support for improving equalization of basic public health services in China.
