This study explored practical strategies to promote physical activities among female college students to curb the decline in their physical health due to insufficient physical activity among female college students. We designed a nine-week intervention plan to address participation barriers which were conducted on 60 female college students using social ecology theory as a guide. The results showed that comprehensive intervention on female college students in the individual, physical, and social environment could effectively increase their extracurricular high-intensity physical activity, length of transit time, and reduce sitting time. The increase in physical activity is mainly due to group activities, while the supportive atmosphere ensures their transit. Based on this, this study proposed the following strategies for promoting physical activity among female college students:relying on school education on the individual level, while emphasizing the improvement of theoretical knowledge and exercise experience, therefore exploring internal motivation. At the physical environment level,we provided precise placement and scientific management of exercise facilities to support structured activities and coordinate the planning and layout of the campus building environment to provide external environmental protection for unstructured physical activities. At the social environment level,we recommended applying group-based support to form teams and organize activities, thus creating an emotionally supportive atmosphere for female college students to participate in physical activities.
