This paper provided a comprehensive analysis and comparative review of the service lists for long-term care insurance support in 23 pilot cities in China, aiming to identify the service classification and characteristics. The result demonstrated that the definition and standards of the long-term insurance service list were inconsistent and lacked a dynamic adjustment mechanism for service checklists. The provided services did not match their demand based on disability assessment, and the payment standards were unclear. Therefore, the content and unified standards of the service items should be specified. The selection of preventive and rehabilitation services should be more emphasized and accurately matching service items based on disability levels to improve the health and well-being of disabled older adults.
