Abstract:Based on an analytical framework of the necessity, limitations, and potential solutions of AI-empowered humanistic education for medical students, this article presents the following limitations. AI-generated scenario recreations cannot replace the teacher-student emotional resonance rooted in compassion for life. AI-delivered personalized instruction cannot fully prevent value biases and ethical risks. The technical assistance AI offers cannot fundamentally stimulate medical students’ intrinsic motivation to learn, and the reliance on superficial evaluation indicators cannot fully reflect the quality of cultivation. Therefore, the article proposes strengthening teacher-student emotional interaction by integrating technological advantages with humanistic care. It is also important to establish human-AI collaboration mechanisms, emphasizing value guidance and ethical norms. Additionally, it is vital to reconstruct the core of education to activate medical students’ intrinsic learning motivation. Lastly, the article suggests optimizing the evaluation system by promoting multidimensional dynamic assessment to align teacher guidance with AI assistance.
