Abstract:Intelligent medicine has emerged as a core driving force for medical advancements, medical equipment innovation, and future medical talent cultivation. Intelligent Medicine Engineering (IME) is a new undergraduate major that integrates knowledge from medicine, artificial intelligence, and engineering, aiming to develop students' ability to solve medical problems using artificial intelligence and engineering technologies. This study compared the educational programs of IME from 27 medical schools in terms of their training objectives, competency requirements, and medical curriculum. Based on the above comparison, this study proposes possible cultivation strategies to advance talent cultivation in IME by capitalizing on the strengths of medical colleges and introducing the application of talent cultivation practices at Tianjin Medical University as an example.
