Abstract:As a core technology enabling the high-quality development of sports medicine, brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) play a vital role in monitoring neural dynamics, decoding motor intentions, and assessing neural characteristics. However, the application of BCIs in sports medicine still faces ethical challenges, including data privacy breaches, the undermining of human agency, threats to life and health, and ambiguity regarding responsibility. In response, the paper proposes governance pathways, including establishing a comprehensive data governance system, protecting human agency, reinforcing safeguards for safety, and clarifying the boundaries of rights and responsibilities. It further proposes specific measures to integrate brain-computer interfaces into sports medicine across the stages of prevention, process, and prognosis, thereby promoting the standardized and efficient development of brain-computer interfaces.
