Abstract:【Abstract】Objective:To explore the current situation of professional identity for physicians in Nanjing. Methods:To investigate the professional identity status of 1186 physicians from 27 medical institutions in Nanjing by questionnaires and interviews. Results:The recognition rate was relatively higher in the aspect of occupational cognition, behavior, value and emotion. The professional identity was statistically different by gender, education level, hospital grade(P<0.05). Conclusions: Specific m-anagement measures should be carried out according to the impact of different demographic variables on the professional identity. 【Key Words】 physicians; professional identity ; investigation
