Abstract:Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of nurse's professional identity in Jiangsu province and its relationship with the work environment. Methods: using "the nurse's professional identity scale" and "the nurses' work environment scale", using stratified random sampling method, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 360 nurses in 6 hospitals of Jiangsu province and analysis. Results: 1.nurses' professional identity scores mean was 102.11 ±14.96, the average score of nurses' workenvironment is 108.65 ± 10.44 ; 2.there were significant differences in age, department,position, marital status, hospital level variables; 3. in addition to the "team", the other 7 factors of working environment were significantly related to each factor of professional identity. Conclusion: nurse's professional identity in Jiangsu province showed the medium level, strengthen the work envir- -onment "leadership and initiative", "doctor-nurse relationship", "control of the practice" factors such as attention can further improve the level of nurses' professional identity.
