Abstract:Objective: To understand the current ideological situation among young staff in public hospitals and improve the pertinence of the ideological and political work of young staff. Methods: A self-designed questionnaire was applied to survey 1355 staffs under the age of 40 years old from five third-grade hospitals in Nantong City, and the analysis and comparison were made. Results: Young staffs adopted proper mainstream values and good professional ethics with relatively stronger sense of belonging to their profession, but noteworthy characteristics of their ideological situation were also found, including low satisfaction in payment, high stress at work, potential moral cognition problems, and subjective and realistic tendency in personalities etc. Conclusion: Guiding their enthusiasms for career development in the right direction and enhancing ideological education and guidance, bettering motivation system, reinforcing professionalism construction, and emphasizing emotional management.
