The academic evaluation system has become one of the chief means for research funds acquisition or research performance assessment, and the important driving force for scholars and researchers to stir up their academic vitality. Here the recent progress of academic evaluation system is summarized centering around its constitution and application, dwelling on indicators such as authority factor, cited half-life, H index and H-type indices, F1000 index, and further analysis were done basing on our university’s conditions.
