Abstract:By means of the pre-post test design, the results of the impact of group sandplay therapy on improving social anxiety of pharmacy students are examined through social anxiety scale (IAS), self esteem scale (SES ) and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSS). Studies found that: 1) subjects of the experimental group differed significantly in scores pre and post the positive and negative response to IAS, SES, SCSS coping subscales of the test while the difference in the subjects of the control group was minor; 2) pre-measuring scores of the subjects both in the experimental group and the control group of the positive and negative coping subscales in IAS SCSS and SES posted slight difference, while the post-measuring scores of the the items showed significant difference. The results show that, group sandplay therapy can effectively lessen the social anxiety of pharmacy students, enhance the level of self-esteem, and improve ways of coping with problems, entitling better interpersonal skills to the pharmacy students.
