With the enrollment expansion of medical students,clinical teaching resources on public hospitals can not meet the needs of medical education. It is significant to try to integrate the high-quality private hospitals into medical education system. Nanjing Medical University has authenticated some private hospitals as its affiliated hospitals, and practiced consistently to innovate their management modes. It has obvious effection on private hospitals after they became into affiliated hospitals, which can be seen in many aspects, such as training and selection of teaching staff, internal construction of clinical teaching and education, graduate educaton, subject development and scientific research. On the one hand, private hospitals can improve the strategy in clinical promotion and the quality of medical services well by using the resources of university. On the other hand, medical university can also benifit from private hospitals on the clinical teaching resources. So Nanjing Medical University has sucessfully explored a special mode for private hospitals development.
