English is the most commonly used language in the activities of international scientific and technological exchanges. We aimed to improve the English writing skills of the postgraduate students, who are usually deficient in the English writing skills and lack writing training, by recommending relevant top academic journals, assigning English literature reading tasks, holding Journal clubs, and teaching methods of literature searching and skills of academic English writing etc. As a result, the English writing skills of the postgraduate students were greatly improved. Overall, these teaching methods are very effective in helping medical postgraduate students improve their English writing skills, laying a solid foundation for their future activities of international academic exchange.
