Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a problem-centered pedagogy. Currently, PBL has been applied in many universities in China, but the application of PBL in the hygiene teaching still needs exploration. This paper elaborates the PBL based teaching reform in hygiene from the optimization of case preparation, the optimization of the organization and the improvement of the evaluation system.
