Doctor-patient relationship refers to specific social relations formed in medical service between medical staff and patients. Normal doctor-patient relationship bases on mutual respect, mutual trust and interaction. In recent years, the disputes between patients and hospitals have risen and become one of the main aspects of social disputes.Taking certain geriatric hospital as example, the essayanalyzes the present situation of doctor-patient relationship and attributes the disputes not only tothe patients and hospitals themselves but also the social reason.By studying comparatively from the angle of sociology and applying the idea of ‘Care for the Elderly’, it proposes the strategies of building mutual participation mode and new doctor-patient relationship.
